What we collect

ToolQuil has no user accounts and no login — we don't collect or store a personal profile for you. The text or files you submit to a tool (for example, text pasted into Word Counter, or a PDF uploaded to Compress PDF) are used only to produce your result.

Uploaded files

Files uploaded to a tool are stored temporarily so the tool can process them and give you a download link, then deleted automatically — typically within about an hour. We don't keep, browse, or share uploaded files after that window.

Text and form inputs

Text-based tools (word counters, formatters, converters, and similar) process what you paste in the same request that returns your result — it isn't written to a database or kept after the page response is sent.

Server logs

Like most websites, our server records standard technical logs (such as IP address and request timestamps) for operating and securing the site. These logs are not sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build a profile of you.

Cookies

We set the standard session cookie that Laravel (the framework this site runs on) uses to keep a page working correctly. If Google Analytics or Google AdSense is active on this site (see the next section), those services set their own cookies in your browser as well — we don't control what they store, only that they're enabled.

Analytics and advertising

This site may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, and Google AdSense to show ads. Both are Google services that use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites, which Google may use to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ad Settings, and learn more about how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you provide are stored so our team can review and respond to it, and a copy is also sent to us by email. We don't use this information for anything beyond responding to you.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store only your email address, so we can send you product updates and new tool announcements. You can ask us to remove it at any time via the contact form.
