GSTIN Validator

Validate an Indian GSTIN's format and check digit, and decode its embedded state code and PAN.

Format and state code are validated with full confidence. The check-digit comparison follows GSTN's published algorithm, but since this tool can't reach the live government database, a mismatch is shown as a caveat rather than a hard rejection — always confirm via the official GST portal before relying on this for anything critical.

A 2-digit state code, a 10-character PAN belonging to the business, a 1-character entity/registration number, a fixed 'Z', and a 1-character check digit.

The format is valid, but our computed check digit doesn't match the one in the GSTIN you entered — this could mean a typo, or it could be a rare edge case in our checksum implementation. Verify via the official GST portal either way.
